The Anonian
Working like there’s no tomorrow!

It turns out, working 80 hours and up per week does not allow much time for blogging. I know, I know… I was as shocked as you are.

For the last couple of weeks, I have been pushing myself to the max, working 12 to 15 hour days every single day. I missed out on some blog posts, some gym days, and some decent sleep. I usually work long hours, but the last two weeks were special: deadlines were set and I was determined to meet them. I still am. Also, I was sick.

I learned a few important lessons from this experience…

  1. Never skip the gym to meet deadlines, change the deadlines. There are few exceptions to this. Destroying all of the good habits you worked hard to establish is generally not worth the return. The gym will also keep your head clear, maximizing productivity.
  2. Learn to say “No.” Every successful businessman has learned to do this when expectations are too high. There are countless ways to say no without being hateful. Figure out what those are and use them.
  3. Work through the sickness. There is always something wrong. Get over it.
  4. Keep at least a week’s worth of blog posts on standby. The average day never goes as planned.

These will be forever burned into my brain… at least they better be.
