The Anonian

I talk a lot about establishing strong habits and sticking to them. I encourage others to make efforts to achieve their goals. I preach sacrificing pleasure for success, and I practice what I preach.

Strict daily habits and rituals have kept me on track, allowing me to produce more than I ever have before. Maintaining and abiding by the rules I have set has proven to be more useful than I ever could have imagined. Time has revealed the benefits that come with habits and rituals… and the downfalls.

Falling off the wagon is a heck of a lot easier than getting back on it; it is much easier to break a habit than it is to establish one. When maintaining habits requires that you not break a single one, it makes for a disaster waiting to happen. This became apparently obvious when I fell ill and was forced to skip the gym.

Being a firm and rigid man has its benefits. Apparently, so does being flexible.
