The Anonian

Bingo, Uno, and Yahtzee all have one powerful feature in common: you know exactly what it takes to win. Before yelling “Bingo!” you have to mark off that lucky five in a row. “Uno!” can only be exclaimed when you have one card remaining in your possession. Players only get to exclaim “Yahtzee!” when all five dice show the same number. But when it comes to real life, things get a little trickier. At what point do you get to shout “Happy!”?

Life has no set rules, no defining factors for winning. It is ever-changing and extraordinarily unique for everyone, leaving happiness, along with beauty, to lie in the eyes of the beholder. For one man, life may be about finding a wife and raising children. For another, it may be about being the richest alive. And while those two men are focused on their goals, the guy down the street is busy collecting the most bananas. Each man is happy with his respective goal because it is relative to him.

The point of happiness is a complex and fickle thing, and it is something that each person must define for themselves.
